There is severe water and food (fodder) shortage in Beed, Latur and Usmanabad districts of the state.

SThe state has received a fund of Rs. 550 Cr. from the Central Government for the implementation of remedies (solutions). The state government has also allotted an amount of Rs. 370 Cr. for the same purpose.

  • Shri.Eknathrao Khadse told reporters in Mantralaya (Assembly) that the center is ready to provide assistance if there is a need for more funds.
  • The state should send a proposal in this regard in November or December after the final Report about loss of crops is declared.
  • Shree Khadse also reported that he himself has visited Yavatmal, Pusad, Vashim, Buldhana, Jalgaon, Dhule, Nandurbar, Nashik and Aurangabad districts to know about the difficulties of farmers.
  • He had meetings with officers and representatives of people there. He has given instructions to carry out the decisions taken by the government.
